It’s A European Import With Incredibly GOOD European Imports

Lidl offers a Preferred Selection brand, focusing on European specialties every month or so. They also do a nifty national and regional food focus with limited-time offerings of authentic imports.

For instance, January 2022’s theme was Taste of Greece, and from the launch date to when supplies ran out, imported Greek-prepared foods and ingredients were found on their shelves.

The range included ready-made mezze, from cheese and olives, frozen pastries stuffed with leek and cheese, eggplant or beans in tomato sauce, to complete kits with gyro.

They also offered things like dried figs, frozen whole calamari, and frozen flat beans. You can pretty much make an entire theme night out of these regional foods since they also include desserts, like classic cookies and sesame seed bars.
