If you remember these toys, then you must also remember the racial insensitivity scandal that followed Costco around for a few years after they appeared on their shelves in 2009. This happened because while the retailer tried to be inclusive and had the doll represent all the human races, their cuddle partner ended up causing a stir amongst the community.
The African American doll was seen with a plush monkey, which many found insensitive and offensive, as it brought back memories of years of ridicule and oppression. As a result, these dolls were pulled from production, and they have never been seen since!

I miss the cheese bagels!!! A staff member told me they take longer to bake! (My daughter in Minneapolis still can sometimes get them.) I wasn’t going to argue but REALLY?? please bring them back to Tampa Bay FL stores 🙏🏻
