$2,000 Stimulus Check Update: Here’s If You Could Qualify!

Who Would Qualify for the $2,000 Payments?

Trump has suggested that high-income earners will not qualify, although he has not provided a specific income threshold. In a recent post on Truth Social, he wrote:

“A dividend of $2,000 a person (not including high income people!) will be paid to everyone.”

The U.S. Treasury has reported that tariff revenue during Trump’s second term has generated over $220 billion. However, more than 163 million Americans filed tax returns in 2024, according to the IRS, meaning universal $2,000 checks would total roughly $326 billion—exceeding tariff revenue collected so far.

Trump has argued that remaining funds could also contribute toward reducing the nearly $40 trillion national debt, writing:

“All money left over … will be used to substantially pay down national debt.”

My husband. & I are in our 80’s. worked until retirement. S.S. is our only income. Unfortunately, we lost our retirement/savings . My S.S. Ck is less than one thousand dollars each mo. His is a little more (2,000) than mine.I’m thankful for S.S. I would be grateful to receive the $2,000 ck and my husband would also appreciate a check, $2,000. I sure would help. Thank You President Trump for loving America & its people! Trump, our greatest president!

My husband and I have worked and pd. into SS and Medicare. We are in our 80’s and SS is our only income. I draw less than one thousand dollars from S.S. each month. My husband draws a little more than me. I certainly would appreciate the $2,000.00 check. Thank you President Trump for loving America and its people!

No. But don’t worry because neither does anyone else! And anyone who thinks they will are likely the same people who are still waiting for that pony for their birthday! Keep dreaming though cause reality sucks harder than the gravity of a black hole in space. 🧛🏻‍♂️😩🤗

I’m 72. I worked all my life in the manufacturing industry. I retired from Boeing in 2019. I’ve burned through my savings. My wife and I survive on our SS and her minimal pay for substitute teaching. We would appreciate the help. This would at least provide groceries for a few months if nothing else. We are both US citizens and qualification should be a given.
