Illinois

Who’s Eligible: Here’s another state that authorized two tax rebates in 2022—one for property taxes and one for income taxes. You qualify for the latter if you were an Illinois resident in 2021 and your adjusted gross income on your 2021 tax return didn’t exceed $200,000 ($400,000 for joint filers).

In order to qualify for the property tax rebate, you must be a resident of Illinois who paid property taxes in 2021 on your primary residence. Also, your adjusted gross income in 2021 shouldn’t exceed $250,000 ($500,000 for joint filers).

Amount: Each eligible resident gets an income tax rebate of $50 ($100 for married couples filing a joint tax return), plus $100 per dependent up to a maximum of three. The property tax rebate is equivalent to the property tax credit you claimed on your 2021 tax return, but not more than $300.

When Sent: Payments to qualifying adults began in September. However, it will likely take several months before all payments are made.

Will the state of Missouri, namely the Cape Girardeau, MO Social Security recipients, be advised to whether they will receive a stimulus check. We are just wondering, as we haven’t yet. Just though it may not hurt to ask.

I am on social security and not making enough to file taxes and I never received a stimulus check at all. I guess it proves a point that you have to make money to get money. California was susposta get a gasoline stimulus check also, never seen that either.
