Eggs from caged hens

In the same effort toward sustainability and humane farming practices, Costco decided to sell only cage-free eggs. When they first decided to do this, their efforts were delayed by COVID-19, but as the pandemic ended, they returned to working towards this goal and hope to achieve it soon enough.

As caging chickens that produce eggs have been under a lot of scrutiny, citing inhumane practices, you should consider buying eggs from cage-free chickens. Besides, research has proven that cage-free eggs have lower levels of chemical residue from toxic insecticides and a lower concentration of dioxin-like contaminants.

I loved the combo pizzas, and haven’t bought any of their pizzas since they quit selling the combo years ago. It was a huge disappointment. I am planning on trying Sams combo now that I’m a member there as well.

Eliminating most of these items from their stock is a huge mistake in my opinion, especially the polish hotdog, combo pizzas, and roundup, a product I use to control certain highly INVASIVE weeds. Control of undesirable plants (kudzu, ivy (poison), creeper, etc) in urban properties is certainly a worthy community supported effort. Also, if eliminating the chocolate dipped cone means eliminating soft serve ice cream and their sundaes, its a disastrous business decision — if keeping loyal (over 30 years) customers is a thing Costco wishes to do. This is depressing news!
