Half-sheet chocolate cake

Back in June 2020, Costco discontinued the beloved half-sheet chocolate cake, as no one bought it during the COVID-19 pandemic. As fewer people were able to get together in person and celebrate these big events, these cakes weren’t selling at all.

Instead, Costco tried to push their 10-inch round cakes. Even so, as things slowly open back up, more and more people are looking for cakes. If you’re one of them (and you certainly are at least once a year), then you could look for it at Walmart, as you will find many delicious options for less than $20.

  1. I loved the combo pizzas, and haven’t bought any of their pizzas since they quit selling the combo years ago. It was a huge disappointment. I am planning on trying Sams combo now that I’m a member there as well.

  2. Keep saying ok to what the government tells you what to do, business big mistake. Run your own buiness or government will put you out of business

  3. We really do like and enjoy Costco. They provide excellent products a fair prices and even they are a large store, shopping there is a pleasure.

  4. Eliminating most of these items from their stock is a huge mistake in my opinion, especially the polish hotdog, combo pizzas, and roundup, a product I use to control certain highly INVASIVE weeds. Control of undesirable plants (kudzu, ivy (poison), creeper, etc) in urban properties is certainly a worthy community supported effort. Also, if eliminating the chocolate dipped cone means eliminating soft serve ice cream and their sundaes, its a disastrous business decision — if keeping loyal (over 30 years) customers is a thing Costco wishes to do. This is depressing news!

  5. Bought Urban Star for Hubby, did not like them at LL, I NEED TO THINK WHY. I tried to write Urban Star, to no avail. Will get back to you soon!!!

  6. MOST OF THE LIST WERE DISCONTINUED TWO YEARS OR MORE AGO. ICE CREAM BARS AND CONES, POLISH DOGS YEARS AGO, COMBO PIZZA, KIRKLAND JEANS ABOUT ONE YEAR, WHY CHOOSE WALMART FOR A SUBSTITUTE? THERE ARE OTHER STORES THAT HAVE BETTER STUFF LIKE ALDI AND GROCERY OUTLET.

  7. Goo9d on the cage free eggs -the correct term for caged eggs is battery egg farming. Check it out -it is sheer evil. Also so much anti biotics used you do not want them in your body. Shame still selling Bud light.
