4. Mattresses
Unless you are in an ultimate pinch and you think that this is just a last-minute solution, you should always avoid mattresses, as they are one of the biggest red flags when it comes to garage sale items to avoid! It may not seem like there is anything wrong with that mattress; it looks clean, and the friendly seller is saying it has only been used a few times; even then, you should not buy this item!
Mattresses, even when they have been used a few times, are a prime spot for dust, bed bugs, other types of insects, and dead skin cells from the person who has used them before you. You can attempt to clean it, but do you really want to risk accidentally getting your home infested with fleas or bed bugs?
We didn’t think so either, so no matter how cheap it is or if they give it out for free, avoid it!

Glad I took the time to read this, two items I had not processed and might have been tempted, if Garage Sales was one of my pastimes. They are the Pots and Pans and the Electrical items. I would have thought that with the pots and pans you get the heat hot enough to take care of any germs and I just had not thought about Electrical accidents. Thank you.
I have couple times of estate garage sale considering the tax charge. The items are used and when we still have to pay for the tax. What do you think about the items has been twice tax charged? Really like to see what do you think.
Motor vehicles are taxed when initially purchased and taxed every time they are sold and registered by the new owner. If tax was paid with the FIRST time purchase, then no other tax should be applicable.
