Do you love Walmart or do you hate it?
When it comes to Walmart, we can talk about 2 categories of people: the ones who are all about this giant store and the ones who don’t like to shop there! Whether you like it or not, the truth is that they have some really good stuff, such as liquid laundry detergent, chocolate chip cookies, athleisure clothes, frozen foods, comfy and high-quality pajama sets, great and affordable body perfume, low-sodium vegetable broth, and so many other things.
However, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t quite a few things you might want to stay away from! There’s no such thing as a perfect store, so it’s understandable that some of their products are either low-quality or expensive, while others are top-notch!
We know that some of you hate and some of you love this giant retailer, so we want to help you make the best choices next time you go shopping! Not only it will help you save money, which is probably one of the things you’re looking for, but it will also save you from buying products you don’t actually need. So if you’re looking for guidance, we’re here to give you our best tips! Click on the next page and let’s get this party started:

1. Phone accessories
This might come as a surprise, but big chain stores, such as Walmart, usually charge a lot more than they suppose to for tech accessories. We went on a little field trip to check if this is true or not, and let us tell you that the price difference is crazy.
There aren’t a lot of situations when phone cases, for instance, are more affordable at a big-name store compared to an online retailer, like Amazon. It has plenty of options available, and many colors to choose from, and let’s not forget that the prices are incredible: less than $15 for a pretty, high-quality phone case.
While you might find that Walmart has some cute options available, if you don’t own the newest iPhone generation, you might not be lucky to find the item that will spark joy in your life. So before you make a purchase, make sure to check in multiple places, to discover what the best offer is!

2. Luggage
Even though luggage can be pretty expensive, it’s essential to invest in high-quality products that will make you feel safe and not worry that all of your staff are going to be in the middle of the street due to some weird malfunction. A scenario like this is surely never good for a successful and relaxing trip, especially when you’ll loos minutes and minutes putting your items back in your suitcase.
Speaking of that, if you don’t want to feel stressed that your luggage might fall apart mid-vacation, in the middle of the street, with all eyes on you, you’d better not buy it from Walmart.
In conformity with a survey conducted by Consumer Reports, a lot of giant retailers, including Walmart, Burlington Coat Factory, Target, Sears, and Ross, are the worst places you could buy luggage from.
Instead of hitting one of these stores and being disappointed by the quality and price, the survey participants said that there are better options out there, so check out these stores to find the perfect luggage for your desired vacation: Luggage Pros, eBags.com, REI, Amazon, and L.L.Bean.

3. Meat and fish
The majority of Walmart’s customers have quite a lot of things to say about the store’s meat and fish sections and unfortunately, a lot of their comments are not the nicest ones.
In 2017, Consumer Reports surveyed over 50,000 people about their grocery shopping preferences, and they found that the giant retailer was by far the most disliked store. More than 70% of the participants stated that they were disappointed with the quality of meat, fish, and poultry.
Some of them said that it didn’t taste good, and others said that they can find something that is more high-quality and still budget-friendly elsewhere.

4. Maple syrup
Not that Walmart’s maple syrup is bad or anything, but you can find a lot more delicious and flavorful options on the market. Even though you can definitely go with this maple syrup that generally has a good and sweet taste, if you prefer something more affordable, you should check other stores out.
A lot of customers say that Costco and Trader Joe’s have a variety of maple syrups that are not only delicious but have some good prices too. However, if you decide to give Costco’s maple syrup a try, don’t forget that you have to buy it in bulk.

5. Appliances
Believe it or not, there are actually some really good reasons why the giant store isn’t popular for selling laundry machines, vacuum cleaners, and refrigerators. The 1rst reason is that Walmart doesn’t carry a large variety of options when it comes to appliances, but many customers said that there are more reasons why they prefer to upgrade their homes elsewhere.
Some people we’ve talked to told us that when it comes to new appliances, Walmart is never on their list and they prefer to check out other popular appliance-focused retailers, such as Home Depot and Best Buy.
…So if you want to buy something that is high-quality, has a reasonable price, and is going to last you a very long time, Walmart shouldn’t be on your list!

6. Wood furniture
Wood furniture looks great and can give your beautiful home a cozier vibe and a more relaxed and welcoming feel. But is Walmart the best place to buy items like these? No, it’s not, as many clients and shopping experts say.
Of course, their wood furniture looks good at 1st, and it makes people curious and tempted to buy when they see the store’s affordable prices, but don’t get very excited about it.
The truth is that Walmart sells budget-friendly wood furniture because the quality is not the best compared to other retailers. So if you purchase something like this from them, you might end up having to repair it or even replace it in just a few months. So, now’s the question you should give an honest answer to: does it worth the risk?

7. Jewelry
We’re sure you already know that accessories can make or break an outfit, and even the most basic clothing items can instantly look better with the right pieces of jewelry. Speaking of that, if you’re passionate about shiny things like these and you want to invest in some beautiful pieces, you’d better skip Walmart.
You probably know that stylists and designers recommend investing in high-quality pieces that will last you a lifetime, although they might be pricier.
It’s true that when it comes to Walmart, the prices are really attractive, but the quality of the items leaves a lot to be desired. As you can imagine, you’ll have to repair your things or even completely replace them, which is not the best deal, especially if you have to go to an event and your favorite pair of earrings got all ugly.

8. Bedding
Given the fact that you spend somewhere between 6 to 9 hours in your bed every night, sleeping, relaxing, dreaming, and getting your body and mind ready for the next day, it’s completely normal to want to have sheets that make you feel good and comfortable.
Even though Walmart’s prices are really tempting, it’s safe to say that the quality of their products isn’t the best. You want to feel relaxed and cozy when you get into bed after a long and stressful day, not toss and turn around all night in harsh bedding.
If you want to purchase something that is good-looking, comfortable, and affordable at the same time, you’d better check out department stores such as Macy’s.

9. Pet food
We all love our pets, and we only want what’s best for them! And that means giving them food that will support their active lifestyle, healthy bones and bodies, shiny coats, and strong teeth. And while we’re on the subject, if you only need to buy a single bag of food for your pet, getting it from Walmart is completely fine.
However, if you want to give your precious fur friend food from Walmart on a regular basis, you might want to consider checking out other offers that are more affordable. There are a lot of subscription services that can help you feed your cat or dog with the most nutritious food possible while also giving you the possibility to save some money.
If you set up an automatic purchase from Amazon, for instance, you’ll be able to save between 5 and 10% per food bag. It might not seem like a lot at 1st, but you already know what we say: the savings can quickly add up and every single cent counts!

10. High-end electronics
If you want to invest in high-end electronics, Walmart is not the place to shop! According to several experts and many customers we’ve talked to for our research, the giant retailer is popular in general, but high-end electronics are not their forte!
Even though some of their products don’t have the greatest quality, the prices are still quite big, so you’d better look somewhere else if you want some top-notch gear that’s affordable too!
You can try looking on Amazon if you know exactly what you’re looking for and what you want from your devices. They typically have budget-friendly prices and high-quality items, so it doesn’t hurt to take a look.

I’ll have to agree on the meat and fish and some electronics. However some of the other stuff was a little bit of a surprise.
Walmart have the worst meat, not quality, doesn’t taste good, tough, and sometimes not the freshest.
we do shop at Walmart
Good for you. I NEVER buy meat, fish, poultry or produce from them.
The whole country is in the garbage can emotionally. We are drowning in 5-G and now 10-G. The globalist idea is killing us. Now it is destructive in all ways. The political sum are killing us. Everything is corrupt.
The end is near I agree
Great value sugar free syrup is the best tasting and very reasonable price
Batteries are also overpriced at Walmart
I’ve never been happy about Wal mart meats. The taste is so bland. The steaks are full of gristle and no taste. I fear they may be getting meats from Bill Gates who wants us all to eat his creation called, Fibre. Or it could be coming from Chi** who doest care about the health or well being if Americans at all. Walmart, Shame on you. You should be buying from local American farmers to not only help them, but also feed America better!
I absolutely detest Walmart in Canada. It has killed all the competition in our small city. Now that it has the monopoly good luck finding anything you may need. Frankly the local Dollaramas and Dollar Trees offer better pricing and more option for low priced items. Walmart is a greedy, money grabber in Canada. Now go state side and you instantly notice a vast improvement in both merchandise availability, prices and customer service.
With the exception of brand name lunch meat fromthe deli, I never buy meat or fish from Wal-Mart. It has no flavor, and is usually more expensive than the small Mom and Pops where the quality is generally far superior.
Whenever I see an appeal to “experts” nowadays I’m immediately suspicious and prone to doubt.
Do not buy Walmart Gift Cards either. My son bought me one for Christmas last year and when I tried to use it after Christmas, the card had already been used. Walmart would not replace it.
Walmart has the worst meat anywhere. After 2 times buying ground beef and having to take it back because it smelled bad when I opened it and not getting my money back I will never purchase any fresh items there again and it’s just sad that I have to check the expiration date on everything else. I have also learned to read the box for anything else because 99% of items state it was rebuilt or refurbished not new.
Thanks for the Info
