14. Oregon – Direct Stimulus Checks of $600

Oregon is another state that wants to help its citizens face inflation more easily. In March 2022, the legislature of the state authorized one-time payments of $600 to some of its residents.

One payment per family will be sent to taxpayers who claimed Oregon earned income tax credit on their 2020 state tax return and who also resided in a city in the state for the last 6 months of that year.

These direct payments were made possible by federal pandemic money used by the state to help over 236,000 families who don’t have a large income. Between June 23rd and July 1st, 2022, all stimulus checks were sent through electronic funds transfer or paper checks.

If you are an Oregon resident and want to know more about these payments and when you’ll get them, you can go to the Department of Revenue’s website.
