16. Rhode Island – $250 Rebate per Kid

If you are a resident of Rhode Island, you should thank the surplus in the state’s budget for sending a one-time payment of $250 per kid. However, in order to be eligible for this rebate, the children must have been claimed as dependents on your federal and state tax filings for the year 2021. The best thing about this is that families can receive this stimulus check for up to 3 kids, which means a total of $750.

Another criterion you have to meet in order to qualify for this rebate is to have an adjusted gross income of less than $100,000 or $200,000 for a two-income family.

Checks for the child tax credit started to be sent out on October 3rd. If you filed an extension for your 2021 state tax returns by October 20th, 2022, you will receive your refund in December 2022.
