5. Transcriptionist

A transcriptionist is someone who listens to audio recordings and transcribes what they hear. This text may eventually be used to produce video captioning, an interview, or other material, such as blog articles.

Transcriptionists are frequently independent contractors who work for a variety of customers. Some even use job boards and register with websites like Rev to get work. Transcriptionists are generally paid by the recorded audio minute, though some may be compensated hourly.

A transcriptionist’s food pedal and noise-canceling headphones are two tools that may make your work easier. What’s great about a foot pedal is that it can help you switch between speakers, thus speeding up your job.
