6 Home-Selling Mistakes That Make You Lose Money

1. Waiting to sell

If you know a little bit about the way home-selling works, you know that spring and early fall are seen as the best times to sell a house. It is easy to see why this is true and applies in most cases, but this doesn’t mean that you have to wait for months before you put your house on the market.

December and August are said to be the worst months to sell a home, but keep in mind that homes are selling in every month of the year, and you should never hold back from putting the house you want to sell on the market. You never know, since faith has a funny way of working.

Pro-tip: Put your home on the market in February. Why? You might ask this because why would someone want to buy a home in the winter? Well, according to experts, people are less distracted in February, and this also applies to cold places like Chicago or Wisconsin.

Go on and try to sell your house any time of the year you want, and stop believing everything before verifying the information. Stop making these rookie home-selling mistakes!
