Sam’s Club Products: 6 You Should Avoid Buying There

Canned goods

When it comes to Sam’s Club products, it is easy to spot the big cans of veggies that you will be able to get for a bargain. Be it peas, corn, beans, or any other canned veggies, Sam’s Club is going to have a stock of those for such an amazing price that you will be compelled to buy some and stock up on them.

However, your frugal mind should be put on pause for a moment. Normal cans hold about two servings, and if they are bigger, the serving size will be increased. Unless you plan to make a huge pot of food or your family is really large, these huge cans are not feasible to buy and use at once when you open them. This means that you may end up throwing away some of your veggies, and this translates to throwing out the item instead of using it all, so it won’t matter how much you saved since you are wasting produce and money.

Sure, you can use it for meal planning, but how many days in a row are you going to eat baked beans or chili before you get sick of it and want some variety? Before you commit to those huge cans, look at your lifestyle and plans. They are amazing for BBQs and big gatherings, but not really for day-to-day cooking.

I do not agree with you on some of your points. I do not know a family that can’t use 12 cans of beans before
they are out of date. Second, laundry detergent and fabric softeners can be used by a family of three before
they are out of date. Third anyone with two bathrooms can use the large package of toilet tissue and save you
trips to shop for them. You may not save a lot but when you consider the price of gas, it is a no brainer.
