Online English tutor

You should know that teaching English online has become a very popular hustle. In fact, several companies are ready to hire you, so you might want to look for opportunities to earn an extra $1,000 a month.

You can try first with VIPKid and Qkids, as these two are good places to start your search. You can teach English and make money on your own schedule. And, if you prefer, you can work from home.

Data entry

It’s worth mentioning that data entry can be a hell of a tedious task. However, more and more businesses have no problem hiring more personnel to tackle their data entry needs.

You will need to be detail-oriented to find the right opportunities for paid data entry. Also, take care and make sure you avoid scams in this industry. If someone asks you to pay for any kind of opportunity to work with them, it’s highly likely to be a scam.

Proofreading

Proofreading is the kind of job where you generally have to read through articles and manuscripts and check for errors in grammar while also making other small edits right before the writer’s work gets published.

Truth be told, it is a marvelous way to earn an extra $1K a month, especially if you have a good eye for grammar. Besides, you can also make around $24 per hour as a proofreader. Even if finding your first gig as a proofreader could be a challenge, you could also complete a course to guide you through the process.
