4. Electronics

This category is probably the most unexpected one on this list, but yes, electronics are one of the most expensive antiques that you can sell. Now, not any electronic can fit into this category, but some of them are collections items nowadays.

For example, if you have a retro Walkman cassette player, you can sell it for hundreds of dollars. The same goes for old gaming consoles such as Nintendo or Sega. There are many enthusiast gamers out there who would do anything to get one of these consoles. Also, old mobile phones or old computers are other items that people still want to buy.

Do you know what was the most wanted item in 2021? The first iPods, as well as the older generation ones, were extremely popular during that year because a lot of people wanted them for that vintage feel, and they would take nice money out of their pockets to have them.

The ones that were still in their original package and the colored ones were the most popular, and some would pay hundreds of dollars for them.

Many people collect old records and go to Salvation Army store or the library’s annual book sale. When you donate your records you can deduct amount on your income tax if you use govt approved charity. The Salvation Army and Goodwill can tell you how much to deduct for each record.
