Delaware: Bowers

You may have expected that the list of the best beach towns for retired homebuyers would include one of the tens of Floridian locations that are known to be magnets for retirees. And while we cannot deny the fact that they are indeed amazing if you can face the sweltering summers in the state, they do not make our list because Bowers is a better choice when it comes to actually moving to a beach town. Hear us out!

Bowers is a town that is known to be a hidden gem for retirees who are looking to buy a home in a beach town. If you are looking for a small city where you will be able to find a community of retirees, this little Delaware town is the best choice for you. The average age here is around 60, and the quiet beach town is small, not counting much over 300 residents. It is the best thing if you are looking for a true quiet oasis where you can source your seafood locally and truly enjoy a relaxing time.

Another thing that makes it one of the best beach towns for retired homebuyers is the fact that the prices here are decent—only a little over $100 per square meter, coming up to $107! The median home size is more than generous, being around 2,083 square feet, with the average price for a home in this relaxing town being around $223,000.
