The Best Amazon Prime Perks You Should Be Using in 2026

1. The “Hidden” Health Benefits That Save Real Money

One of the most significant shifts in the last two years is Amazon’s aggressive move into healthcare. These aren’t just niche perks; they are legitimate money-savers for millions of households.

This graphic shows how Amazon RxPass slashes monthly medication costs from twenty dollars down to just five.

RxPass: The $5 Generic Medication Game-Changer

If you take daily maintenance medications for things like high blood pressure, anxiety, or acid reflux, RxPass is arguably the best value add-on Amazon offers. For a flat fee of $5 per month, you can get as many eligible generic medications as you need delivered to your door.

  • The Math: If you take two generic prescriptions that typically cost you a $10 copay each at a pharmacy, you’re spending $20/month. RxPass covers both for $5 total. No insurance is required (or used).
  • Eligibility Update (2026): As of mid-2024, Amazon expanded this program to include Prime members with Medicare, meaning seniors can now bypass the “donut hole” coverage gap for these specific generics.

One Medical & Telehealth

Prime members get discounted access to One Medical, Amazon’s primary care service. While not free, the membership fee is significantly slashed for Prime users (typically around $9/month or $99/year compared to the standard $199). If you value same-day appointments and 24/7 virtual care via app, this discount alone can offset the cost of Prime.

I also agree with Rita Davenport, I’m 67 yo and I only use my membership for ordering (occasionally) , photos and I watch prime video (with ads) . So how can I save money with prime?

Thank you for this information. I did not know half of it regarding my subscription. I will contact Amazon to change the monthly fee to an annual one to save the $40.00.

I only use Amazon Prime for ordering things, nothing else.
