Key Terms of the Settlement

Under the settlement agreement, Amazon must implement substantial changes to ensure clarity and transparency moving forward. Among the required improvements:

Changes to Enrollment

  • Sign-up screens must use simple and explicit wording, such as “Join Prime,” rather than implying a shipping upgrade.
  • The exact membership cost must appear clearly on the page, along with the renewal date and automatic billing information.
  • Options to decline Prime must be displayed as prominently as the option to join.

Changes to Cancellation

  • Cancelling must not be difficult, costly, confusing, or time-consuming.
  • Auto-renewal must be easy to disable.
  • Amazon cannot hide or bury cancellation options through misleading or excessive screens.

Hi this is Jamie at Oakwood Apartments in Fargo, we do use Amazon Prime and would like to be
checked if we are ones who will be getting a refund. We did join Amazon Prime in the required time period.
