8. Illinois – $50 and $300 Rebates

If you are a resident of the state of Illinois or if you were one in 2021, you are eligible for 2 refunds. The first bonus is an income tax credit for people whose annual income is less than $200,000 (or $400,000 for married couples who file jointly). You can get $50, and your dependents will get $100 more if they qualify (up to 3 kids per family).

The second stimulus check you can get is bigger than the previous one, and you can receive up to $300 back if you qualify for a property tax credit on your tax return.

People who can qualify for this are those who have annual incomes of $250,000 or less ($500,000 for a married couple filing jointly) and it represents a reduction in their property taxes.

According to the Illinois Department of Revenue, it can take several months to distribute all refunds, so you have to be patient. However, the state began providing the money the week of September 12th.

Of course, Texas isn’t on the list. God forbid we get refunded or get a little help…
