3. America the Beautiful Senior Pass

The National Park Service (NPS) has created several passes to encourage Americans to explore the beautiful places this country offers.

If you’re a US citizen or permanent resident and are at least 62 years old, you can buy a lifetime pass to federal recreational lands, national parks, national historic sites, recreation areas, national wildlife refuges, and national monuments for $80. You can also choose the annual pass, which will cost you $20.

Both lifetime and annual Senior Passes can be purchased directly through the US Geological Survey (USGS) website. There you’ll find the documentation you need to apply as well as more information about the program.
