The Best Amazon Prime Perks You Should Be Using in 2026

February 8, 2026 · Personal Finance
A person looking at photos on their phone by a sunlit window.
Relaxing on a cozy window seat, she uses her phone to access a lifetime of memories via infinite cloud storage.

4. The “Infinite” Cloud Storage

In an era where Google and Apple charge monthly fees for extra storage, Amazon Prime offers unlimited full-resolution photo storage via Amazon Photos. This is not for documents or videos (you only get 5GB for those), but for photos, it is truly unlimited.

Pro Tip: You can set the Amazon Photos app on your phone to “auto-backup.” Once your photos are safely in the Amazon cloud, you can delete them from your device to free up space—saving you from having to upgrade to a 1TB iPhone or paying for iCloud+.

I also agree with Rita Davenport, I’m 67 yo and I only use my membership for ordering (occasionally) , photos and I watch prime video (with ads) . So how can I save money with prime?

Thank you for this information. I did not know half of it regarding my subscription. I will contact Amazon to change the monthly fee to an annual one to save the $40.00.

I only use Amazon Prime for ordering things, nothing else.
