Virginia

Who’s Eligible: In order to qualify for Virginia’s one-time stimulus check, you must have filed a 2021 Virginia tax return by November 1, 2022, and owe state income tax for the 2021 tax year (you can still receive your rebate if you got a refund after filing your 2021 tax return).

Amount: The stimulus tax rebates are based on your 2021 state tax liability, but they are limited to $250 ($500 for joint filers).

When Sent: Virginia is sending stimulus check payments in the order it receives your tax returns. This means that the sooner you file, the sooner you will receive your check.

Eligible residents who filed their tax return by September 5, 2022, should have received their money by October 31. If you filed your state tax return between September 6 and November 1, 2022, expect your check within four months from the date you submitted your return.

Will the state of Missouri, namely the Cape Girardeau, MO Social Security recipients, be advised to whether they will receive a stimulus check. We are just wondering, as we haven’t yet. Just though it may not hurt to ask.

    Sincerely, Harryette Miller Burnette

I am on social security and not making enough to file taxes and I never received a stimulus check at all. I guess it proves a point that you have to make money to get money. California was susposta get a gasoline stimulus check also, never seen that either.
