2. Do you still keep your clutter?

We all have things that we don’t want to throw away. And we can clearly see that some of them have some kind of emotional value for you, but this is one of the home-selling mistakes that people make because they don’t realize how much it can affect the way buyers see the property.

Just put yourself in the shoes of someone who wants to buy a home for a second. Imagine that you go to an open house and all you can see is random stuff all around. In the living room, in the kitchen, and even in the bathroom! How is this making you feel? Do you still want to buy the house, or does it make you have doubts?

It might not be the easiest thing to do to, removing all the belongings from the house while you are still living in it, but remember that presenting each space and room in the best light possible is crucial if you want to sell your home for the best price.

Get rid of all the old furniture, say goodbye to oversized couches that occupy a lot of space, and remember to also clean the closets. Never let decor that gives too much detail about your personal life be on display.
