Millions of Amazon Prime members may be eligible to receive a refund as part of a historic $2.5 billion settlement between Amazon and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

The settlement resolves allegations that Amazon enrolled customers into its Prime service without clear consent and made cancelling subscriptions unnecessarily difficult. While many eligible users will receive automatic refunds, others must file a claim to receive their share.

This article walks you through exactly how to file that refund claim, who qualifies, what documentation you’ll need, and key deadlines to remember in 2026.

I cancelled this but it keeps getting charged. I buy little from amazon and would like to have my refund and have it cancelled for good.
