Isn’t it always better to be safe than sorry? Even though there might not be anything wrong with some of the products in these categories, you might want to err on the side of caution. We recommend avoiding these types of products. You probably won’t recognize the brands.
And if you do, they may have been sitting on those shelves for a very long time. To be clear, even makeup can become less effective if it’s past its expiration date. And when it comes to your skin, do you really want to throw caution to the wind?
In 2019, the FDA sent a letter to a dollar store chain warning them that they found “multiple violations of current food manufacturing practices” at the places where house brands of drugs and certain cosmetics items were made.

I read all of your picks on what not to buy and your so,so right. I know from experience. Thats what these stores have on their shelves and most people know that. However, its still a fun store to go through regardless. There is always a cheap thing to buy that you can’t do without. lol
I can’t but go and visit dollars store to buy things so I love to buy my need there.⁹
I love Dollar Tree Stores but they need to change the name because nothing is a dollar in there anymore. Their prices start at $1.25 and go up. You really need to watch which isle you are on and watch the products because people are always putting the wrong products on the wrong isle and when you get up to the register you find out the real price of some items.
You are so right about the plastic cooking utensils; they are marked Betty Crocker but they will melt if they get to hot and who know what the right temperature is for them. I learned the hard way about them melting and no need taking it back to the store, cause who keeps receipts from there and I bought these items when everything was a dollar.
Anyways I still like going in there and prawling around!
