
4. Who Must File a Claim to Get Paid
If you didn’t receive an automatic refund but think you qualify, you may be part of the claim-filing group. This typically includes customers who:
- Signed up via a challenged enrollment flow.
- Used between 4 and 10 prime benefits in a 12-month period.
- Were unable to cancel Prime when trying.
These customers will be contacted by Amazon or the FTC via email or postal mail — with a claim notice that contains instructions, including a claim ID and PIN you’ll need to submit your claim. Notices are expected to be mailed or emailed by January 23, 2026.
Amazon double charged my account multiple times and had to refund me twice.
