Are you ready to make the most of your shopping experience at ALDI?
Aldi might not be as popular as Trader Joe’s or Costco, mostly because it’s a German company. But it is definitely one of the top 10 budget-friendly stores in America. Besides, their statement is, “Everything we do is purposefully designed to save people money!” This couldn’t sound any better. For a bargain shopper like myself, this is more than a catch phrase.
Have you ever been to Aldi? If the answer is no, then let me tell you a few things you must know before you shop in one of their stores.

1. Aldi almost always has the best price on milk and eggs you can find in your area
In the past, I used to shop all my dairy products at Costco because they had the least expensive prices. Because I bake a lot of goodies for my family, I also need a lot of eggs, and Sam’s Club was one of the places I found them at a very good deal.
Yet, since last year, I discovered Aldi and I couldn’t be happier about it. Why? Because these two items are even cheaper on their own. And you can buy them without worrying about the fact that you don’t own a membership. Shopping at Aldi can save you a bundle, honestly!

2. Do your shopping on Wednesday mornings
On Wednesdays, the shelves get restocked! What else is better than finding fresh food in the store? Even if it’s the mid-week and we usually tend to be a bit lazier than usual, shopping is always a good idea to de-stress, especially with so many amazing deals at Aldi’s.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to shop in a nearly empty store because most people have already started working at that hour, and it’s unlikely that you will run into crowds of shoppers. Cool, right?

3. New Hot Deals hit the shelves on Sundays
“Hot Deals,” you say? I am totally in! This is a section of heavily discounted products that are waiting for you to buy them. And you should do that while it lasts because most of their loyal customers come here every Sunday. If you want to pay even less on items like dairy, canned food or even meat, do yourself a favor and come for a visit on Sunday or Monday morning.
You won’t regret it!
4. Aldi offers special crazy seasonal sales
Don’t forget to check the aisle of Aldi for their weekly Aldi Finds! Here you will find everything from furniture, home décor, and backyard supplies to napkins and kitchen utensils. Make sure you subscribe to receive the latest deals, especially in spring during the last week of May when a lot of their camping items are on sale. You know, camping season is near and you will probably want to go spend some quality time with your family soon!
I love browsing their aisles to see what Aldi has to offer next!

5. Don’t underestimate ALDI’s name brand products
Most people tend to avoid products that aren’t from big brands. This is a mistake, however, because local ALDI products can be as good or even better than commercial ones. Don’t avoid buying stuff that is on the cheaper side of the brand because that doesn’t mean it’s lower quality.
Furthermore, most of their ingredients are almost identical to those of big brands. And that’s a win-win situation for both you and your wallet. So when will you go shopping at Aldi’s next?
6. Save on bread with this expiration date hack
ALDI is one of my favorite places to shop, mostly because of their low prices and their nice employees. When it comes to packaged toast, if you choose one that is five or few days away from expiring, you will be guaranteed to get a discount for it. How amazing is that? See, one more reason to come to Aldi!
…psst! If you are gluten intolerant, don’t forget to check out their gluten-free brand of bread. It also tastes amazing!

7. If you’re trying to eat healthy, shop at ALDI
Is there any budget-friendly food that tastes amazing and is also healthy? When can we catch a breaj? A lot of people are struggling with eating healthy lately, especially after this pandemic. Because most of us were forced to work from home, we put on some weight too. However, almost every time, temptation is right around the corner in supermarkets. And whenever I try to find healthier food alternatives, they are so expensive.
But Aldi is always here for you, especially when it comes to good deals and even better ingredients. Most of their brands are free from synthetic colors, added MSG, and trans fats. Let’s say good riddance to bad ingredients by making a habit out of shopping at this awesome grocery store!

8. The “Twice as Nice” customer guarantee is legit
It might happen that a customer wants to return a product one day or two after they bought it. And a lot of stores do not have this policy. But guess what? ALDI is more customer-oriented than others, and you can return pretty much anything! How awesome is that?
This deal is part of their “Twice as Nice” policy and you can benefit from the guarantee only if the product packaging and unused product are returned to your local ALDI store manager. For items not covered by the Twice as Nice Guarantee, like non-food ALDI items (alcohol, national brands, or issues unrelated to quality) a replacement or refund will be offered.

9. Special products are revealed two weeks prior to hitting the shelves
Aldi gives its customers an amazing opportunity to know what special products will be on the shelves. You can either find out this precious information from their website or also from the in-store circular. This is just brilliant! Honestly, I hope other stores will take take note of this. Imagine that some of your family members from abroad are coming to visit you in a couple of weeks.
If you shop at Aldi, you will know exactly what food you will cook based on the products that will be on the shelves at that time. Happy shopping!
10. Aldi only hires people aged 18 and up (and they pay them very well)
If you are looking for a nice place to work where you can be surrounded by amazing people, Aldi is by far the best. I remember that a couple years ago, my 18-year-old niece was looking for a job, so while I was shopping, I asked for more details about the overall conditions at their store.
Two employees and the cashier said they love working there, and if you want a full-time job, you will be working for 30 hours per week. And that means you can also get a good health benefits package besides a decent wage because they pay almost $12 per hour.
