5 Surprising Things You Can’t Return to Amazon

Gift Cards

If you thought that getting some friends and family gift cards would be the way to go, especially since it is easier than getting them something and not knowing if they will like it, we urge you to think about it again.

Prepaid cards and some gift cards are not eligible for returns, so if you are not sure you are going to use them as a gift, it is better to put off getting the gift card until you’re 100% sure. This is something to be even more careful of when it comes to subscription gift cards and video-game products, as Amazon will not accept those back as returns no matter what.

After all, they cannot be sure that you haven’t already used the gift card before sending it back, and they would rather not bother having to police that. And we cannot fault them for that!

If you have gotten a gift card and you did not get to give it to someone, even if you cannot return it, you can still make the most of it. Use it yourself or repurpose the gift! They do generally have a long time frame in which they can be used, so you can give them to someone else as a gift if you do not have any use for them yourself!

Amazon has a lot of products, however even if you love shopping online, you should never buy these products from Amazon! Trust us, the hassle is not worth it!

Thank you for all this good information. Many people do not know there are 3rd party vendors selling on Amazon. This info is good.

I believe I purchased a desktop (approximately $780) from Amazon and after numerous online attempts to return, I believe Amazon offered me an out (return to an Amazon warehouse in CA), but withheld a hefty sum (if my memory serves me correctly) – $150 was withheld. Sometimes, it’s difficult to determine whether a seller is international or not, as well. So, I now just prefer not to order computers or laptops via Amazon, no matter how good the deal sounds. I have better return options ordering these type items from HSN.

I bought a dining room table from Amazon. It cost me $1,000.00. When it arrived it was very late. When I finally got it, it was damaged. Well wasn’t excepting a dining room table that was damaged for $1,000.00. I jumped through all the hoops to get my money back asking them to come and get the table. They told me that I was responsible to dispose of the table.
