7 Things You Must Buy at Dollar Stores

3. Tape

Ok, you never know when you need some “Scotch tape,” and this is why most of us are keeping some just in case. Now, it’s important what tape you choose. Some brands are better, some not at all.

For example, dollar stores can offer you cheaper alternatives such as Jot invisible tape, which is available at Dollar Tree and costs $1.25 for 800 inches, which means about 002 cents per inch.

But if you are looking for something that is more qualitative, you might want to go with tape from Scotch. But keep in mind that for this you’ll have to pay more. A 600-inch refill pack of Scotch transparent tape at Staples costs $5.19, or about 008 cents per inch. This is a significant difference, but you can be sure that the quality is there.

When going to dollar stores to get tape, be careful because many times the rolls you find there can contain less tape than the ones you get from other retailers. Maybe the tape seems cheaper, but the price reflects the quantity you are receiving.
