6. Cold and frozen food

Dollar stores have always been the subject of jokes about their cold and frozen food offerings. And there are many good reasons for this. Let’s not forget about the infamous $1, 3.5-ounce frozen ribeye from Dollar Tree, which was heavily processed and loaded with various substances we don’t even want to talk about.

But those times are long gone, and dollar stores have learned something from earlier mistakes and improved a lot. canned and highly processed foods are mostly gone, and that section is now replaced by a refrigerated section in most stores.

Now you can go to any dollar store and find frozen vegetables, pizzas, and even cold dairy products, and the best thing is that you will not pay too much for them. Still, make sure you look at the expiration date.
