5 Surprising Things You Can’t Return to Amazon

Healthy and beauty

When it comes to health and beauty items, Amazon needs to make sure it will not get into trouble when it comes to consumer safety. This is why it is pretty hard to return such items, and it mainly has something to do with the safety of the customers and, more often than not, the expiration date on some of these items.

And let’s be honest, there are a lot of items that could be included in the beauty and health department, so the list is not completely clear, and the online retailer themselves do not name what you can return or not either. It is generally up in the air until you end up realizing you cannot return the item, so it is good to be in the know about what could possibly trigger this.

he one key to knowing what would not be allowed is to look after safety or even protection seals; if the product comes with one and it has been broken, it is yours forever and you cannot return it because the seal has been broken. Same with intimate products: you cannot return those.

However, if you have received an item with a damaged seal, you should be able to send it back and get a refund!

Thank you for all this good information. Many people do not know there are 3rd party vendors selling on Amazon. This info is good.

I believe I purchased a desktop (approximately $780) from Amazon and after numerous online attempts to return, I believe Amazon offered me an out (return to an Amazon warehouse in CA), but withheld a hefty sum (if my memory serves me correctly) – $150 was withheld. Sometimes, it’s difficult to determine whether a seller is international or not, as well. So, I now just prefer not to order computers or laptops via Amazon, no matter how good the deal sounds. I have better return options ordering these type items from HSN.

I bought a dining room table from Amazon. It cost me $1,000.00. When it arrived it was very late. When I finally got it, it was damaged. Well wasn’t excepting a dining room table that was damaged for $1,000.00. I jumped through all the hoops to get my money back asking them to come and get the table. They told me that I was responsible to dispose of the table.
