When Will the October and November 2026 SSI Payments Arrive?
SSI payments are generally issued on the first day of each month. When the first falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the SSA pays on the last business day before it.
- Thursday, October 1: October 2026 SSI payment
- Friday, October 30: November 2026 SSI payment (paid early)
- November: No SSI payment
- Tuesday, December 1: December 2026 SSI payment
The second October deposit is not an extra or bonus payment. It is November’s benefit arriving early, so recipients should budget it to last through the end of November.
Beneficiaries who also receive traditional Social Security retirement, disability, or survivor benefits should note that those payments follow a separate schedule. Recipients who started collecting Social Security before May 1997, along with anyone who receives both SSI and Social Security, are generally paid on the 3rd of the month. In October, the 3rd falls on a Saturday, so that payment arrives on Friday, October 2. In November, it arrives on Tuesday, November 3.

The second Wednesday in November is Veterans Day, a federal holiday, so that payment goes out one day early.
That means someone receiving both SSI and Social Security could see several deposits close together in October, which is expected and not a duplicate payment.
Most recipients receive their funds through direct deposit or a Direct Express debit card, allowing quick access to benefits. Beneficiaries should monitor their accounts on or shortly after October 1 and October 30 to confirm receipt of funds.
